Trap Team Takes Its Shot

The Lake Shore Trap Team spring season is in full swing, and the team members could not be more ready.

The team has been practicing for a few weeks, and now that it’s officially Trap Shooting time, the team is ready to compete. Their goal as of right now is to improve their scores, and work on getting to states.

Last season, they did not compete, however that did not stop them. They worked hard, and maintained their endurance, working to get better, and trying to shoot perfect rounds. They are ready for the spring season, and states. The team is currently in the same Conference as Chippewa Hills High School, and Harbor Beach Community High School. They are held at a conference 7.

In the past, the team consisted of only high school students, but Coach Hubbard made the executive decision to allow two eighth graders to join the team, and it was a good decision. One of the eight graders, Luke Baier, shot a perfect round, consisting of 25 shots, missing none. With Baier shooting a perfect round, it boosts the teams overall score in the end.

With new member, and returning ones, the LSHS Trap Team is ready to dominate. Christzian Caza, senior, states, “Based on the division we are in, I think we will win this division again. Our team looks strong and we have won against majority of the teams in our division before.”

Overall, the team is ready for their new season, and ready to give it their all.
