Lake Shore’s Bundle Of Future Picassos

On Thursday, April 27th, Lake Shore High School hosted it’s annual district-wide art show. There were hundreds of pieces on display. From self-portraits, to scenery, to powerful PSA-inspired works (including anti-smoking, anti-bullying, etc), and much more. The event drew a large attendance, from proud parents, students, staff, and other members of the community. The showcase ran from 5 to 8pm. Along with the masterpieces on display, there were also activities including face painting, henna tattoos, stained-glass making, and clay model crafting, which were all run by students. Every Lake Shore school (Masonic Heights, Rodgers, Violet, Kennedy, and LSHS) had artwork to show off.

Attendees were able to vote for their favorite artworks. The talent was phenomenal. One can only imagine the dedication that these artists put into each and every project they work on. The fair was a major success, with a large turnout and a beautiful gallery of art. Lexie Vaughn, Riley Kimball and Marina Okray rounded out the top three.
