ECO Club Book Drive

ECO club is holding their annual book drive that began Monday, January 23rd and goes through Tuesday, January 31st. Student’s second hour teachers will be collecting books and the homeroom with the most books collected will win donuts and hot chocolate!

The ECO club uses the books that they collect to assist the club, according to Renee Fain, MICI teacher, “We are asking for donations to support ECO club who is trying to raise money to purchase recycling bins for LSHS.” They plan on giving away the books during conferences and open house, however donations are encouraged and accepted.

Last year they collected over 200 books in total and according to Fain, “We received $60.00 in donations that helped with the cost for the garden that ECO club made last year.” Moreover, she continued to say “Last year, ECO club won the Green Award which is hanging in front of the school.”

Find the brown bag in your second hour and bring in your new or used books, maybe your class will win the prize!
