Freshly brewed coffee and comforting decor, Eos Café and Coffee (located on Jefferson between 12 and 13 Mile roads, stop in and check out Eos for yourself), may become the new hot-spot in St. Clair Shores. Open from 6:00 in the morning until 9:00 at night, Eos is a very warm and welcoming establishment, and should definitely be on your list for places to check out in the coming months.
When I first entered the establishment, I instantly noticed the comforting atmosphere. With Billy Joel’s Piano Man playing through the building, and the smell of fresh baked goods, relaxing is only a fraction of how Eos could be described. After ordering a Cusabi BBQ Chicken Panini, it took only eight minutes for the sandwich to be prepped and served to me. Accompanied with a freshly brewed coffee, the service alone was very quick and respectful. In fact, one of your Lake Shore classmates may be the one cooking up your meal. There is plenty of seating, but I chose a window seat to get a full view of the establishment. The perfectly made sandwich consisted of chicken, tomato, onion, lettuce, mozzarella cheese, and a combination of BBQ and Cusabi dressing (a mixture of ranch dressing and wasabi). All of the veggies were fresh and crisp, and the chicken was cooked to perfection. With modest prices and a wide range of wraps, salads, and paninis the Cusabi BBQ Chicken Panini is definitely a must have.
Even though Eos has a great food, the focal point of a café is its coffee; and Eos knocks it out of the park. Brewed at the perfect temperature and loaded with flavor, their coffee was a winner. A perfect way to start one’s day at 6:00 a.m, their coffee leaves a long lasting great taste in the mouth of whoever drinks it.
Eos is a very new establishment, but they should take off as one of St. Clair Shore’s better cafés.
